The Church
We believe the bible is the written word of God to man, that scriptures form the foundation of our faith.
We believe in the triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God is uncreated, and that Jesus Christ is fully God, and was fully man, born of the virgin Mary. We believe that Jesus was crucified and died as a sacrifice for the sin of the world. Jesus rose again and ascended to heaven where he sits at the right hand of the Father. We believe that Jesus will return, ending evil's reign on the earth, and to judge the living and the dead. We believe the Holy Spirit is in us and empowers us to live out our faith, as we work out our salvation.
We believe man was made in the image of God, and that through Adam, man fell into sin. We believe that through Jesus, man can be justified, made righteous before God, and through grace, are freed from the law that leads to death. We believe in baptism in water as an outward sign of dying to the old life and being reborn of the Spirit through the blood of Christ. We believe in baptism of the Spirit, and the flowing of His gifts.
We believe the Holy Spirit is at work in God's people today, and He gives gifts to His people, which we can activate and use for the glory of God. We believe in the fruit of the Spirit, and that as we walk in faith, we will bear these fruit. We believe the full, anointed gifts of the Spirit are available to us today, including speaking in tongues, prophecy, healing, discerning of spirits, wisdom, faith, miracles, knowledge, and interpretation of tongues. We believe the gifts of the Spirit are given to strengthen, encourage, and comfort the Church, that is, the Body of Christ.
We believe the Church is the Bride of Christ. We believe the Church is God's Kingdom governance on the earth, set to establish and extend the Kingdom until Christ returns. We believe the Church is not merely a building, but a living, moving body, with Christ as the head, coming together, working in step with the Holy Spirit, to glorify the Lord. We believe that all believers should be in community with other believers.
